Account and Security

How SiteRun account security works, including magic link login, secure records, audit history and account deletion paths.

SiteRun operations dashboard showing alerts, required actions, today jobs and recent activity for Eastside Electrical Co.
Activity history gives admins a timestamped view of sign-ins, rule changes, uploads and job actions.

Workflow

  1. Enter the email attached to the SiteRun account.
  2. Use the one-use sign-in link sent to that inbox.
  3. Request a fresh link if the old one expires or has already been opened.
  4. Use named accounts so audit history shows who performed each action.
  5. Use the account deletion page or app security area when a deletion review is needed.

Operational notes

  • Magic links are one-use and expire after a short period.
  • Important actions such as blocked check-ins, sign-offs and admin rule changes should be logged.
  • Some business records may need to be retained for legal, billing, security or audit reasons.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Forwarding sign-in links between workers.
  • Opening a sign-in email on one device and trying to reuse it on another.
  • Expecting deletion of a user account to remove business-owned job records immediately.

Mobile notes

  • Workers should request a fresh link from the phone they will use onsite.
  • If the link opens in the wrong browser, request a new link rather than reusing the old one.
